Project Description

Elkem AS, Salten Verk has established a project called Kvase to re-build furnace 3 during a ten week long furnace stop. The purpose of the refurbishment is to reduce the NOx emissions from the furnace.

NLI Scope

Building structures, charging system, cooling water, smoke hood, gas outlet, smoke stack, off gas ducts.
Procurement, demolition of existing furnace, prefabrication, assembly and MC commissioning
