Statoil invests in Deep Sea Anchors AS

NLI is part-owner of Deep Sea Anchors AS (DSA) through its daughter company NLI Innovation. The Trondheim-based company DSA has developed, patented and launched the concept Deep Penetrating Anchor, a novel and cost effective anchor solution for floating structures.

Statoil is now entering DSA as part-owner of the company. Statoil's entry is expected to boost the development and strengthen DSA's position in the market.

Jon Tore Lieng is Managing Director at DSA. He is very pleased with the cooperation with Statoil and states : "With NLI, GeoProbing Technology, and now Statoil as part-owner of the company, Deep Sea Anchors has the professional expertise and industrial weight in order to make a sufficient impact in the global offshore anchoring market".
